In the recently concluded "5th National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition" Beijing municipal competition, the teaching innovation project "Teaching Innovation of Financial Institution Risk Management Based on PLB Theory", led by Prof. Zhang Guangli of CUFE Business School, won an Excellence Award at the Beijing Municipal College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition. This marks the first time a teacher from our university has achieved success in the industry-education integration track of this competition, showcasing the university's initial effectiveness in producing talents through industry-education collaboration.

The teaching team comprises Prof. Gao Zhenman from the Department of Finance and Financial Management at CUFE Business School and Mr. Wen Wensheng, a sponsor representative of Guotou Securities. The teaching innovation practice is primarily based on project-based learning theory, exploring the integration of industry and education in teaching models to enhance teaching effectiveness. Rooted in a student-centered teaching philosophy, the team has identified three key teaching issues: misalignment between teaching content and program training objectives, disconnection between teaching content and reality, and low student initiative and enthusiasm for learning. The team has carried out teaching innovation and reform from multiple dimensions, including teaching models, content, and methods. The reform is supported by a strategic cooperation agreement signed by CUFE, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Beijing Securities Regulatory Bureau, and Essence Securities (now renamed Guotou Securities). It aims to explore the application of industry-education integration in teaching at finance and economics universities and address teaching issues in the course "Financial Markets and Financial Institutions". This integrated teaching model focuses not only on combining teaching content but also on integrating teaching models, content, and methods. In daily teaching reform, the team combines "bringing enterprises into the classroom" and "taking practice into enterprises" to help students understand the core, challenges, and practical operations of financial institution risk management from multiple perspectives. The teaching reform has also received strong support from Western Securities Co., Ltd.

In recent years, CUFE Business School has been committed to promoting teaching reform through competitions and improving quality through reform. In 2024, the Business School organized an internal teaching innovation competition and invited Prof. Li Mang from Beijing Normal University to provide professional guidance to participating teams, fostering a strong atmosphere of teaching innovation. Moving forward, the Business School will further deepen the industry-education integration mechanism, cultivate more high-quality teaching projects, and promote dual improvements in teachers' teaching abilities and talent training quality.
