On May 10, 2025, the Qianling Mountain outdoor hiking and exchange activity hosted by the School of Business Branch of the CUFE Alumni Association and organized by the CUFE Business School Finance Club was successfully held. Nearly 30 alumni graduates from different classes, majors, and professions, as well as current students, participated in the event.
The activity aimed to enrich the outdoor lives of graduate alumni and current students, advocate for the establishment of a healthy lifestyle, and strengthen exchanges and connections among alumni, as well as between alumni and current students. Qianling Mountain, the venue of the activity, is located in Wangzuo Town, Fengtai District, Beijing, and is known as "the first major mountain in southwestern Beijing." Named for its spiritual terrain and gathering of natural aura, Qianling Mountain Scenic Area integrates natural and cultural landscapes. It not only features numerous peaks competing in beauty and spectacular scenery but also houses the largest cluster of grotto temples in Beijing, with a long-standing Buddhist cultural heritage. During the hike, participants appreciated the beauty of nature, exercised their bodies and willpower, and felt the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

Summiting to Enjoy the Beauty of Nature and Culture
On the day of the activity, Beijing had a clear and sunny sky. In the morning, alumni gathered at the subway station exit, eager to explore nature and communicate with each other, and assembled on time. The hiking team officially set off at 9:00 AM, starting to climb along the winding mountain path. Along the way, everyone laughed and chatted, exchanging ideas and encouraging each other in a warm and harmonious atmosphere. During the ascent, the team passed through many historical sites of Qianling Mountain, such as Guanyin Cave, Wenshu An (Monastery), and Jile Cave (Bliss Cave), which carry the mountain's history. After more than two hours of climbing, the team successfully reached the summit. Standing on the top, the vast view opened up, with the distant cityscape stretching as far as the eye could see, bringing a sense of refreshment and joy.

Lunch Exchange and Intellectual Interaction
After the hike, participants exchanged and shared experiences about their recent work, study, and life. Alumni graduates from different industries and classes freely discussed topics such as career development and industry trends, while current students talked about their recent study life, hobbies, and future career development plans in a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere. Finally, Zhang Geng, alumnus of the Class of 1997 in International Business Management and President of the CUFE Business School Alumni Association Branch, conducted an in-depth analysis of the recent international situation and macroeconomic conditions, followed by a lively discussion among the on-site alumni. Through these interactions, graduate alumni strengthened the exchange and sharing of work experience, and current students gained a clearer vision of their future study and employment directions.

Activity Summary and Looking Forward to the Future
Alumnus Zhang Geng delivered a summary of the activity. He emphasized that alumni are valuable resources and assets, hoping that alumni will participate more in college and alumni association activities, and welcoming current students to actively engage in organizing alumni events to enhance communication, pool wisdom, share resources, and jointly promote the new development of the university, college, and alumni careers.
Through this Qianling Mountain hiking activity, participants not only appreciated the magnificent natural scenery of Qianling Mountain but also experienced its profound historical and cultural heritage. While getting close to nature, exercising, and tempering their willpower, they deepened the emotional connections among alumni and between alumni and their alma mater. At the same time, it provided current students with insights and inspiration for future career development planning. In the future, the Alumni Association Branch and the Business School Finance Club will continue to collaborate, organizing activities such as corporate visits, theme forums, and industry salons to support alumni growth and college development.
