In order to promote the teaching practice of industry-teaching integration, the undergraduate course "Financial Markets and Financial Institutions" of CUFE Business School carried out a second classroom learning activity with Western Securities.On April 9th, 2025, 16 students went into the Beijing branch of Western Securities for an enterprise visit organized by Professor Zhang Guangli.

Headquartered in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, Western Securities Co., Ltd. invited Manager Wang Yan from the risk management department of the headquarter to give an in-depth explanation of brokerage business and risk management for teachers and students. In the business explanation session, Manager Wang Yan introduced the diversified systems of wealth management and credit business, highlighting the professional and comprehensive life-cycle wealth management services. In the risk management explanation, Manager Wang Yan introduced the four stages of comprehensive risk management in the light of the company's actual situation: from level 1 passive management (regulatory requirements, formalism), to level 2 "managing business and guarding the bottom line", to level 3 "managing business and balancing development and risk control", and finally to level 4 "managing business and balancing development and risk control". The third level is "managing business well, balancing development and risk control", and finally to the fourth level of active management (risk management creates value and leads the business), guiding the correct knowledge of risk and realizing the improvement from "doing things correctly" to "doing the right things". After the presentation, Ms. Wang Yan interacted with the students. Students actively asked questions and gained a deeper understanding of financial risks during the interaction. From theory to practice, from textbooks to reality, this visit made the abstract financial knowledge become vivid.
After the lecture, Mr. Hu Xiao, Manager of Brokerage Business Department of Western Securities, led the students and teachers to visit various departments of the company and introduced the business layout in detail, so that the students and teachers had a more intuitive understanding of the organizational structure and operation mode of Western Securities. After the visit, all the staff took a group photo, and the visit came to a successful end.

The visit deepened students' understanding of the operation, business model and risk management of financial institutions through on-site observation and professional explanations, injected practical vitality into the course learning, helped students combine classroom knowledge with industry practice, enhanced their professionalism, and laid a solid foundation for future exploration in the financial field.
